Who Clozyx is (and isn't) for
Clozyx is not for everyone. Here's an honest look at who gets the most value from Clozyx, and who should look elsewhere.
Some businesses have needs that don't quite fit what Clozyx is designed to do - and that is OK.
Clozyx is a deeply opinionated piece of software. We've made deliberate trade-offs based on a set of values - local-first data, privacy by design, and judicious use of on-device AI acceleration. Those trade-offs make Clozyx a great fit for some teams and a poor fit for others.
Some of this is simply things we don't do yet, but you probably want a solution that's ready today.
Who Clozyx is for
Sales teams who have hit the wall with cloud CRM
If you've ever experienced a Salesforce outage at quarter-end, watched a rep's notes disappear because two people edited the same record simultaneously, or sat through a 6-second page load during a customer call - you know some of the ways that cloud-first can fail.
Clozyx was built by people who experienced these failures firsthand. If you're used to slow and cumbersome cloud apps, you'll feel the difference immediately.
Software should be fast, it should always be available, and then it should get out of your way.
Teams with strict data privacy requirements
Industries that handle sensitive customer information — financial services, legal, healthcare-adjacent, defence contracting - there are often significant struggles trying to justify putting customer data in a third-party cloud. It creates compliance and liability problems, and the justifications and explanations always feel weak.
Clozyx's data lives on your hardware. There is no cloud, no third-party data processors, no vendor risk associated with where your customer data is stored. It's on your hardware that you've already deployed, and your people are already using.
Distributed teams and field sales reps
Working from a train, an airport, a client site with spotty Wi‑Fi, or a region with unreliable connectivity? Clozyx works fully offline. Every feature - search, notes, pipeline management, even AI suggestions. Everything functions without the network.
When connectivity returns, your changes sync to your team automatically.
Teams that want AI without the trade-off
AI-powered features in Salesforce, HubSpot, and other CRMs need to send your data to a cloud AI provider for processing. Notes, contacts, history of conversations - and there's no way to avoid it if you want those features, it's foundational to how they work.
Clozyx's AI runs entirely on your device. You get lead scoring, email drafting, follow-up suggestions, and win/loss analysis without any customer data leaving your machine. Your devices can even share compute, with less powerful devices delegating heavier AI work to more powerful devices within your workspace on the fly (we'll share more about how this works in an upcoming post).
Small and mid-size teams who want enterprise-grade capability
Many enterprise CRM features are locked behind extremely expensive tiers. When added up these solutions frequently cost north of $200 per user per month.
On top of that, licensing is wildly complex. Almost all organisations eventually need some sort of external help just to understand what they're paying for and how to optimise it.
Clozyx helps you leverage the compute you've already paid for, and brings these capabilities to your teams at a simple price that makes sense.
Technical teams who value transparency
Clozyx is designed to be understandable. Your administrators can inspect your data (it's stored securely on your devices), understand the sync mechanism (it is clearly documented), and trust the AI (local open-weight models). There is no black box - just simple software that helps you get more out of your hardware.
Who Clozyx is NOT for
Teams with complex, multi-departmental enterprise workflows
If your CRM needs to integrate deeply with ERP systems, custom approval workflows spanning multiple business units, or an ecosystem of bespoke third-party integrations - then you probably do need something more complicated.
Clozyx is focused and opinionated. It's not a platform for enterprise-wide digital transformation.
Teams who need a CRM-plus-marketing-automation bundle
HubSpot built its reputation on combining inbound marketing with CRM. If your sales process depends on deep integration with email campaigns, lead nurturing sequences, and marketing attribution - and you want all of that in a single vendor - something like HubSpot might be a better fit.
Clozyx is a sales CRM. It does not try to be a marketing platform.
Extremely large teams with multiple thousands of concurrent users
Clozyx's peer-to-peer sync model works exceptionally well for teams of up to a thousand users or so, but if you're managing a truly global sales org with thousands of reps all editing shared records simultaneously, the complexity of that use case may exceed what a local-first architecture is designed to handle effectively.
We're building for sustainable growth in this direction, but it's worth being honest about where we are today.
Teams who want white-glove enterprise implementation support
Salesforce has thousands of certified partners, implementation consultants, and system integrators. HubSpot has a large certified partner network. If your procurement process requires a major vendor with an established professional services ecosystem, Clozyx isn't there yet.
Orgs where the decision is made by committee
Sometimes the decision isn't really a decision - it's a mandate. If your organisation has standardised on a single platform for compliance, integration, or political reasons, a product change requires more than just finding a better tool.
A note on team size
Clozyx works for:
- Individual contributors — full access on the individual tier, for all of your devices
- Small teams (2–15 people) — where our peer-to-peer sync starts to really shine and the pricing is significantly better than comparable cloud products
- Mid-size teams (15–150+ people) — where the performance, privacy, and cost advantages compound substantially
We're actively building the features that enterprise teams need. Watch this space.
The honest summary
Clozyx is the right CRM for teams that prioritise data ownership, value offline capability, and want AI features that don't require sending customer data to the cloud. If those things matter to you, you'll love it.
If you need a platform for enterprise-wide business process management, or if your procurement process requires a large vendor with an ecosystem of certified partners, Clozyx probably isn't the right fit today.
We'd rather you have the right tool for your job than a software licence you aren't using.
