Who we are
Clozyx is a local-first CRM built for modern sales teams. We are the data controller for information collected through this website and our waitlist. Our contact address for privacy matters is privacy@clozyx.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers two distinct things:
- This website — clozyx.com, including the waitlist and contact form.
- The Clozyx application — the CRM itself, which works very differently (see below).
Information we collect on this website
When you use this website, we may collect:
- Waitlist and contact form submissions — your name, work email address, company name, team size, and any message you choose to include.
- Server logs — standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and operational purposes.
We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking. Our hosting and edge infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies to deliver the website securely and reliably (for example, traffic routing, bot protection, and request handling).
How we use website information
We use the information you submit through this website to:
- Contact you about early access to Clozyx when it becomes available.
- Respond to questions or messages you send us.
- Understand who is interested in Clozyx so we can build the right product.
Our legal basis for processing this information is your consent (you chose to submit the form) and our legitimate interest in operating a software business.
Your CRM data in the Clozyx app
This is the part that makes Clozyx different from cloud-centric software, and most other software as a service products.
Your CRM data — contacts, deals, notes, communications — lives on your devices and infrastructure. Clozyx does not store it on our servers, and we do not have access to it.
More specifically:
- Local storage. All CRM data is stored locally on the devices running Clozyx. It stays there unless you configure syncing.
- Sync relay. If you use Clozyx's sync feature, data travels encrypted between your devices via our relay service. We do not persist, read, or process the content of your data — the relay just passes encrypted packets between your endpoints.
- On-device AI. Every AI feature in Clozyx — lead scoring, email drafting, follow-up suggestions — runs entirely on your device. Your customer data is never transmitted to any AI provider or third-party service.
For the purposes of data protection law, you are the data controller for the personal data your organisation holds in Clozyx. We are a data processor only to the limited extent described above (relay transit), and we do not process the content of your data for any purpose.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to operate this website (hosting, email delivery). These providers process information only as necessary to deliver their service and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
- Business transfers. If Clozyx is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
Data retention
We retain waitlist and contact form data for as long as it is relevant — typically until early access opens and we've had a chance to reach out, or for up to 3 years if you haven't asked us to delete it sooner. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your Rights below).
International data transfers
Clozyx is an international product. Information submitted through this website may be processed in countries outside your own. Where this involves transfers out of the European Economic Area or the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses where required.
Your rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access. Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your information.
- Portability. Receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection. Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdrawal of consent. Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time.
- Restriction. Ask us to restrict how we process your information while a dispute is resolved.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@clozyx.com. We will respond within 30 days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law).
If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Children's privacy
Clozyx is a business product and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
